Kidcomms started with a simple, stubborn question: why is it so hard to give a child a phone without handing them the whole internet?
We are an Australian, family-run business. Like a lot of parents, we wanted our kids to be reachable, walking to school, at sport, at a friend's house, without also giving them a device engineered to capture their attention and expose them to everything online.
The options on the market didn't sit right. Spyware-laden "safety" phones broke trust and could be tracked by anyone. Locked-down smartphones still carried games, browsers and social media a few taps away, and kids bypassed the locks within days. Cheap handsets were just full smartphones with a lower price tag.
Instead of adding controls to lock down, we took things away. Kidcomms phones ship with a small set of safe, preloaded tools and no app store to add more. There are no parental locks to break and no spyware to track, because the features that cause the harm simply aren't there.
That principle now runs through everything we make, from the Kidcomms P110 for younger kids to Blackout, our blacked-out, focus-first phone for older kids and grown-ups who want to cut the noise.
Safety should never mean spying on your child. No tracking, no hidden monitoring, no data harvested.
Just calls, texts and essential tools. Every feature earns its place; nothing is there to hook attention.
A 6-month warranty and a real Australian person on the other end of every enquiry.
One phone, one job: keeping your family connected and safe.
